8 days left until the BIG GAME! The battle for #1 in the National Football League between the New England Patriots and the Cinderella team of the 2011-2012 season the New York Giants!
New Yorkers just hope that this 2012 Superbowl ends just like it did in Superbowl 2008 when these same exact NFL teams went head-to-head with the GIANTS "WINNING" as Charlie Sheen would say! Peep the highlights from 2008~
Manning turned in a heroic effort in Sunday's 20-17 OT win over the Niners that put the Giants into the Super Bowl.
(Updated 1/23/12) STATS LLC Advice Facing a heavy pass rush that sacked him six times, Manning was 32 of 58 for 316 yards and two TDs to set up a Super Bowl rematch with New England and postseason legend Tom Brady in Lucas Oil Stadiukm - the homestadium of older brother and fellow former Super Bowl MVP Peyton.

Fantasy Analysis
Manning has now passed for over 900 yards in three games in the playoffs, with eight touchdowns and just one interception in 123 attempts. And now he moves on to face the Patriots, the second-worst passing defense in the NFL during the regular season. The last time Manning faced the Patriots in a Super Bowl in 2007, he passed for 251 yards, four touchdowns and one interception in one of the most memorable Super Bowls in recent times. Manning is usually a top Fantasy quarterback, but with the matchup and history on his side, he’s a must start for the Super Bowl.

Cruz kept out of end zone in monster day: Giants WR Victor Cruz had the best game of his playoff career on Sunday, grabbing 10 passes for 142 yards – both team highs – as the Giants went to the air early and often to try to make up for the 49ers tough rushing defense. Almost one third of Eli Manning’s passes went Cruz’s way, as he was targeted 17 times in the game, a team high. Cruz was a big factor everywhere except the red zone however, as he was unable to bring in a score in the game, however he was clearly the Giants' top option after being overshadowed previously in the playoffs by Hakeem Nicks. "It's just been a tremendous effort by all of us, man," Cruz said. "We understand that any one of us can get hot at any moment. As long as we're all on the same page and just playing together, man, we've got a great group of guys."

Fantasy Analysis
Cruz, who scored nine touchdowns in his rookie season, has been held out of the endzone in all three of the Giants’ playoff games so far. However they’ll likely look his way again in the Super Bowl as they face the Patriots, the second-worst passing defense during the regular season. The Patriots allowed 292 passing yards per game during the regular season, and were also one of the top passing offenses. It should be a shootout, which suits Cruz and the Giants fine. Consider him a must-start Fantasy receiver for the matchup.
